GSCA and Concerts on the Causeway

Last week's Concerts on the Causeway was a night to remember for Gulf Coast Skateparks Association! We were thrilled to be the featured organization on July 10th at Yul’s Place for Concerts on the Causeway. Every second Wednesday of the month, they team up with a local organization to give back, and we were honored to be their pick this time around.

The evening was buzzing with excitement and community spirit as supporters gathered to help us raise funds for our mission: to build a public, free-to-use skatepark for everyone in our community. Thanks to the generosity of multiple vendors and the enthusiasm of attendees, we managed to raise nearly $500 dollars!

Special thanks to Gulf Islands Promotions for donating awesome shirts, which were given out in exchange for guest donations—every shirt given was a step closer to our skatepark dream. The raffle, featuring a brand new deck and a gift card generously provided by Yaya’s, was a big hit and contributed significantly to our fundraising efforts.

The event was not just about fundraising—it was a celebration of community. Local artists showcased their talent with unique pieces for sale. The music, courtesy of Mr. Gil Weaver and the band MudMouth, kept everyone energized throughout the night.

We were thrilled to see people of all ages join us, whether they were enjoying the tunes from the balcony of Yul’s or showing off their skills in the pop-up skatepark. Your support means the world to us, and every dollar raised brings us closer to making our skatepark vision a reality.

From all of us at Gulf Coast Skateparks Association, thank you to everyone who came out and supported our cause. Your passion and dedication are what make our community so special. Stay tuned for more updates and future events—we can’t wait to continue this journey with you!
